About the Family

Fortes fortuna adiuvat — fortune favours the brave

Our heritage

The Seeker family achievement of arms brings together four family lines: Seward, Gentry, Todd and Seeker. Each quarter of the shield stands for one of those lines. The motto beneath, Fortes fortuna adiuvat, means "fortune favours the brave."

Why this site

For years, our family history has been scattered across notebooks, photo boxes, a family tree database and social media. This site brings it together in one private place that the family owns.

  • The family tree is the centerpiece. Every family member can browse it and suggest additions and corrections.
  • Pictures and files are kept safe and shared only with family.
  • Chat runs on our own server, not on a social network.
